Listening to my copy now. LP #1 flat and quiet. Sounds really good.

Where is this one pressed btw ? If RTI would seem odd to have issues but can happen.

I think you’ll be pleased with a replacement. My copy is in good shape, though a touch dirty. Vinyl is quiet per usual RTI standards, which seems essential for this record. I haven’t yet flipped to side 4 for “Suicide is Painless,” but wow, KG really used a lot of 45 RPM real estate for a 5:53 track.

I’m listening to my copy. I did give it a good clean and it’s still ticky in spots. Not horrible but not great either. I’ve ordered a replacement from Amazon. Not top flight work from RTI

Got mine from amazon today around lunch time, cleaned both LP's and gave them a spin, both LP's are quiet, flat, centered and sound great. Hope you get a good replacement copy!

I haven't listened yet but I see that Side D takes up almost the entire side. Never seen anything like that before. I thought avoiding IGD was one of the benefits of 45s, especially with such a short album. Wonder why he did that?

Mastering is fantastic but both my LPs are noisy. Don’t know how much energy I have to do the whole song and dance replacement thing with Amazon but reports of others receiving silent copies would encourage me

I did not read through the thread, shame, shame on me, but is there an SACD Hybrid version and what is the opinion?

I’m going to clean mine tomorrow and see if that removes the handful of pops I heard. Overall I didn’t hear/see any major issues.

The music is terrific, as well as the recording and mastering by Kevin Gray

You Must Believe in Spring arrived today from Amazon…….don’t buy a lot of vinyl from them however arrived in great condition.

Record flat and rather quite ……btw I also hand clean all records I purchase. This is nice late Evans trio recording …..delicate almost elegant.
I’m a big fan of his Riverside Trio’s but this record is in that category IMHO.
Only my second craft purchase…..thinking good value with good sound.

My copy is perfect. There is no noise whatsoever. The sound is awesome, and I especially like the way Gomez’s bass sounds. You guys with noisy copies send them back!

Same here, I have a new copy arriving tomorrow. I have never heard an RTI record sound so bad. I would have loved to have seen them release this as a One Step. I would rather of had it instead of the Miles Davis, which is still a good record, but not worth spending One Step $$$ on, at least to me.

Does anyone have any comments on how the new CD sounds? Especially compared to the old one.

Disk 1 had a mild dish warp, which I fixed with my vinyl flat; disk 2 is perfect. Both disks are quiet.

My copy arrived earlier from Amazon and I just took it for a first spin.

My number one concern when I buy a piano album is whether it is eccentric or not because a wobbly piano drives me crazy. Well, I am very happy to report that this is perfectly centered and the piano sounds very solid.
There are no issues with my copy. It is quiet and sounds fantastic.
I love the texture of the cover and the inside notes are very informative.

This is a very well recorded album with a nice placement of the trio across the soundstage.
And it is a very wide soundstage exceeding beyond the edges of the speakers.
The piano sounds very dynamic and you can actually hear all the details in Evans fantastic finger work.
I was so impressed with the sound of this album that I had to look up information about the recording engineer Al Scmitt online.
    Wow, what a resume!

    Al Schmitt - Wikipedia

Personally, I do not mind the 45 format, as a matter of fact in my experience 45s sound better than 33s.

I do not have any other releases of this but, really, I could not imagine that it can sound any better than what we have here.

Congrats Craft Record for another great release!
