Really enjoyed the first two episodes of S2. When this show first aired, I didn't pay it any attention, but caught up later. I wasn't sold right away, but by the end of the season was really into it. The guy (Dake?) investigating Rhoades looks like he stepped out of a Mad Men episode.
Just noticed S2 had started. Thoroughly enjoyed first episode. I think the writing and plot line has gotten better, more intelligent, as it has evolved.
still waiting for the inevitable damian lewis - maggie siff hook-up. could be revenge, could be unspoken attraction or could be something else.
Kind of wrote this show off as pretty meh but... The first 2 episodes of the new season were much improved. Hope it continues.
very interesting exchange between maggie siff's character and the would be astronaut about wilco in last nights episode. whoever wrote the dialogue for it knew their stuff.
I enjoyed that quite a bit, and they got it right. I'm also loving the Taylor character played by Asia Kate Dillon. Having a non-binary gender character invading that macho environment and having Axe be so accepting without question is a big thing for television. "Hello sir, my name is Taylor. My pronouns are "they", "theirs" and "them". Groundbreaking stuff.
I loved it in the most recent episode where he's going in for the meet with Rhodes and his lawyer and he puts on a Megadeth t-shirt, while Megadeth is on the soundtrack. It's all in the details.
My new favorite character is Taylor. One of the most interesting in tv history if you ask me. This Season is really good. The acting. Plot. Characters. Poker game ep. was awesome!
When Taylor is on screen the show moves into uncharted territory and the whole balance of power in Axe's gamesmanship shifts. A completely unexpected character and yeah, a game changer. Yeah, that poker game was really well done. Terrific second season if you ask me.
Agreed. I got a bit bored with the show, felt the actors and characters under utilized but am now drawn back in big time! Fantastic move by whoever writes the show.
Asia Kate Dillon makes history as one of the first non-binary gender identifying actors to be cast on mainstream TV How awesome is that! Who would have thought from a show depicting subject matter about hedge funds and Wall St!
Love this show, no shortage of interesting/quirky/flawed humans in this program very similar to work actually....but not quite as bombastic.
On the last Showtime free preview, I binge watched Season 1 Episode 2 to Season 2 Episode 1. I thought it got better as it went along. I look forward to catching up with this season at some point.
