Not exactly. One Cop Story and Bitter Bitter You were two separate songs that were mashed together to make Never Forget This Song. Love all three.

So far, not much love for Three Snakes & One Charm in this thread. The first 3 albums get all the attention, and though TSAOC is lumped in with the "classic lineup" with Ford, I'd say it was as much a dividing line for fans at that time as By Your Side appears to be now.
I remember fans saying there wasn't enough rock & roll on it, it was unfocused, it wasn't catchy, they couldn't write songs anymore. Granted, these songs were definitely improved in their live versions, but any album with Under a Mountain, Good Friday, Halfway to Everywhere, Bring On Bring On, and Better When You're Not Alone is a pretty great album to me! Can't understand how people can skip over it.

All of it. I like every album.

The first one will always be my favorite. Couldn’t believe the Stones & Faces had a baby to usher in the 90’s....just for me. :)

I like Three Snakes a little better than Amorica. But Southern Harmony is top of the mountain.

Another vote for By Your Side.
I think it is their best album but because the front cover doesn't convey rock 'n' roll cool, it tends to get ignored.

By Your Side is my favorite.
The producer told them to stop all this hippy jamming and watered rhythms and go heavy into r'n'r.
The result is their most powerful work. The music rankles out from the loudspeakers. The attack with "Go Faster" is astonishing. The closure with "Virtue and Vice" is tremendous, with magnificent shouts form Chris, a song Pete Townshend would pay millions.
Rich is the only guitarist in that occasion and, being a mediocre lead player but a marvellous rhythm player, the music on this album is extremely groovish, essential, not indulgent.
    My personal album preferences:
    _By Your Side
    _Amorica
    _Southern Harmony
    _Before the Frost
    _Three Snakes
    _Lions
    _Shake Your Money Maker
    _Warpaint

    That's called 'clipping'.

    BEYOND crushed.

Songs and performance notwithstanding, BYS is a sonic disaster on every single level.

What! BYS is their worst album, (I'll re-phrase that, my least favourite) even worse than "Lions". BYS sounds like a contractual obligation album to me, the songs are too short, it's almost pop music and the cover, good grief it's terrible..

It was better in the original sequence, with "Grows A Rose" before "V&V", though I love "Go Tell the Congregation" as well...

A missed opportunity, Kevin Shirley's production techniques did them no favors.

The whole thing was a disaster, really.

I'll say it again, not enough memorable songs on Amorica and Three Snakes and One Charm for me. Just as another example, I like Another Roadside Tragedy from the Lost Crowes better than any song on either Amorica or Three Snakes and One Charm. The Crowes were never better than the first 2 albums for me. The songs were tighter and more memorable.

Warpaint and Before The Frost seem like sister albums, all those songs could intermingle,

    Goodbye / Captain, Mule / Garden, Locust / Love…

Can someone explain to me how they can like one album and not the other?

No - that's not why. Well - maybe a small part. But I kinda like the cover - I like the colors.
The music is not as The Crowes were - The Crowes went in a different direction and long timers called the Crowes out on it.
