Well, i grabbed the $18 lawn seats for the Tinley Park show. Not a huge investment, figure I can't go wrong for that price! Now the long wait begins...

This will be great for folks who love that record and haven't thought much about the Black Crowes in 20+ years. Or the age-challenged who simply weren't able to see tours in 2005-2010.

Has a cash-grab feel to it, but then, the tour is being titled "$hake Your Money Maker", so, they are being up front about it.
Glad I saw them back in the day, I can skip this without regret.

Obviously, a different keyboardist was a given considering Eddie’s passing, but I’d hope that at least Marc or Sven would be involved.

  12. I mean it’s probably just the photographer taking a ton of photos, some of which they were told to give these expressions and this one happened to be chosen. I find it funny how it gets read into.

Interesting that they're playing these bigger venues, when last time (which was also a bit of a soulless money-grab), they were playing venues a third of the size, and they had some vital members that they don't this time.

Probably because they’re focusing on their biggest album (which I think is one of the weaker albums in their catalogue, but I digress), and they’ve been away for a while, and people are prepared to see it blow up again.

    They look THRILLED!!!

I went to Steve Gorman's book signing in Boston this weekend and seems like a pretty cool guy. He's not interested in dealing with the Robinson brothers' $h again, especially after Chris demanded more than his share the last time around, relegating everyone else to a hired hand. Love the Black Crowes, but Chris Robinson has always been kind of a @#$%. On the fence whether or not to get tickets.... P{ice look reasonable for the Boston date....

I normally don’t rule out a member returning when there’s money involved, but in Gorman’s case, he may very well be a Bill Bruford. Not drumming wise obviously, but more in having enough integrity to not take a quick cash grab.

Who are these other band members? This is not the Black Crowes to me...
God, how I wished the Chris Robinson Brotherhood was still active..

Well the bass player was on Blackstar, so that’s pretty cool.

I rule it out when the Robinsons would have to share that cash with those members. That's why they are not there in the first place. More money for the brothers.

I won't lie, I will probably see a couple of the shows, but I am holding out for the eventual price drop either on the secondary market or a groupon type deal when these aren't selling out.

Red Rocks prices are ridiculous. $65+$20 fee to sit in the back GA section. Up front will run you $165+$32 fee.

I'm so happy I caught them at the Tabernacle in 2005, featuring the return of Steve Gorman. This is text book money grab.
