No outtakes? Seriously? The Asbury Park show is great, but it's been around in perfect sound now for a long time. Very disappointing.

They should get Jessup to autotune all of Ozzy's out of key singing on the live show.

However, it makes more sense to me to release them in order.

You’re right, I didn’t notice that. I just assumed it was the Asbury Park show.

Cool. Is it confirmed what show is being used, or are they using multiple shows?
Hopefully they come around and do a boxset for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

One disc has 2 tracks? What a waste of space. Those two singles could have been put at the end of the album.

Oh, I agree, but this is Black Sabbath, forget common sense.
To be fair, lots of bands have re-released albums without following a chronological order.

True but I prefer Sabbath Bloody Sabbath to Sabotage.

And still 10,000 Days has no vinyl release. Maybe now I am starting to get what is taking so long on the Tool reissues. Just waiting for the 12 x LP Lateralus Vinyl Box Set announcement. Sad thing is, I'd have to have it.

interesting but the vinyl is probably gonna be from a digital master from an analog source so gonna pass on vinyl
slightly interested in the cd more interested in the book

  12. Yeah, the lack of studio material is a big disappointment.

As for the live material, to me the tracklist looks exactly like Asbury Park. What am I overlooking?

I am pretty sure the live portion of this Super Deluxe release is either just Asbury Park (probably ruinmastered) or maybe combined from several shows - which would explain why they don't name the show, similarly to "Live in the UK 1973" on the Vol. 4 SDE.

I’d have to go back and see what I was looking at but war pigs and symptom and couple other tracks were in a different order. I mayve been looking at a bootleg that switched the order. Seeing that the track list is the same leaves little chance it’s anything else.

At least we get an official release for the Asbury concert now. I hope they worked from the original analogue mastertape and fixed the audio flaws in the beginning of "Symptom Of The Universe" for example.

Hmmm. I'll wait for somebody's review of the sonics before making the purchase. Heck, they didn't even include a pair of red tights. :shake:

It will be the Asbury show for 99.9%. No other full-professional recording seems to exist from that tour.

One of my favorites, so likely still a day one for me despite the omissions.

Looks nice as I don't have any Sabbath unofficial stuff, but extremely expensive if prices are final.
I would have loved studio outtakes.

Me too. Anyway, I have bought these albums too many times already, so if they want to seduce me they need to offer something really interesting.

As much as I want to get this I will take the wait and see approach that I did for the Vol.4 Deluxe set. I didn't end up getting that after all the negative reviews of the live disc even though I will probably pick it up if the price drops down like the Paranoid Deluxe did.

I’d love to get the books separately from these deluxe sets.
Even the book from the ‘Black Box’ would be cool to have all the lyrics in one place.

Well given the way Ahmet Zappa has been doing the box sets for his dad's music, if he were involved with this box set, i would bet there would be red tights in this set.

Thankfully for all of us, Ahmet isn't working with the Sabbath camp.

heck, we might have gotten some stupid and idiotic board game too perhaps is he was involved, haha.

Frank Zappa fans will get what i'm saying, :)
