Yeah. I thought about eBay and other online retailers, but the chance of a damaged digipak and the hassle of all that didn't seem worth it for a couple of quid.

Hope it’s OK. I still regret not sending my buckled Bella Donna back!

It just arrived (despite saying next Wednesday), so I know what tonight's listening will be! :)

You’ll be elated to know my Lady Gaga CD also dispatched. On Friday actually. That too is due Wednesday.

Why did I get the Prime membership again?

My vinyl copy sounds great and a really quiet pressing too, no surface noise whatsoever.

Played the vinyl version 3 times since it arrived on Friday and it’s everything others have said, Perfect pressing, flat and a great sound. It took a long time to arrive on vinyl but so pleased it did!

Can confirm the vinyl pressing is excellent and totally flawless. Great relief considering number of pressing issues I have had recently.

I didn't play the first disc of the deluxe, the original album, but I checked the waveforms and it would appear that there is minimal difference...the new master shows signs of being marginally louder...but we are talking fractions.

The bonus disc has a sound quality on a par with a proper studio album, and if they'd added the material to the end of the main album, it would have been seamless. No sub-standard offcuts here.

That’s a great start. Was your copy unspoiled?

My vinyl is not flawless, to the extent that there is quite a bit of roar, but it's only audible between tracks.

I wouldn't know about pops and clicks because I'm a Sugarcube user. (And no apologies for that )

    Sound quality is however excellent.

It's here and it sounds superb.

Got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when I opened it and saw a cluster of scratches halfway through "Stay Close" but there's no audible noise from the marks at all. Well happy with this, and all the recent Blue Nile reissues.

Playing the HIGH vinyl now - not flat, which I'm surprised by (other people get warped records). It's quiet, however - the slight warp does not cause pitch fluctuations.
If it had, I would be very upset as a musician.
I enjoyed reading the enclosed signed note from Paul Buchanan (just joking....)
Considering some horror stories I've read on this forum and the idea of having to send it back to the UK and all that, I will keep it. It is a shame considering the money spent- pretty much the only time I've received vinyl where it was not in excellent condition.

I wish they'd press more copies of Walk Across Rooftops, it's the only one I didn't pick up (not expecting it to sell so quickly).

If you have decent original pressings is there any reason to pick up the re-issues ?

I don’t have an original copy. The reissues of Hats and High are excellent.

My original lp is fine, but I got the vinyl reissue anyway. I really appreciate this band.

I thought I read somewhere here that the Blue Nile are recording again. Did I dream this ?
