That’s the source of my apprehension for preordering this set. I’m sure either the listing is wrong or there will be another release for those of us stateside, but before it’s cleared up I’m holding off.

I'm leaning on Amazon being wrong on it (hopefully) - they were on the AOF live release...

Wouldn’t surprise me at all, it wouldn’t even be their 1,000th time mis-listing.

Won’t be the same without Allen Lanier.

Not that I've seen. October release so pre-order links may not be imminent.

The original lineup with Lanier, the Bouchard brothers, Buck and Bloom remains one of my favorite bands of all time. I hope this incarnation proves to be entertaining.

I have. AOF forty and Heart Radio are particular highlights so far for me.
Edit I haven’t watched the DVDs yet, just listened to the audio

Well the first time I saw them they did Think for Yourself and they do I Want You on one of the extra discs on the Columbia Albums Collection so there’s a tie in:) I love the Beatles, but not as much as BOC.

Yes, I am getting them all. Have received one so far. No wait...I just got the last one a week or so ago (have not even opened it yet).

I can't imagine they would release anything if it didn't have a few songs that were very much in the vein of classic BOC, so I expect, at the very least, this album to have a few winners, but here's hoping it's a good album from start to finish. In other words, I hope it is more Heaven Forbid than Curse of the Hidden Mirror. :)

This summer I'm celebrating the 50th anniversary of BOC being my favorite band, live and studio.

I was 15 when my friend and music buddy, who bagged groceries for a local supermarket, brought home the first album from an endcap at the checkout counter (he got a discount). What in the world was this music? What was the deal on the album cover? I liked it but wasn't sure why. Then I bought T&M, again good but different music and an even stranger cover. But it was Secret Treaties that sealed the deal. And the first time I saw them live...oh, boy...I never looked back. And I made sure my son's first concert was BOC when he was eight years old. The were part of a triple bill with Atlanta Rhythm Section and BTO. No joke.

My friend has since passed away. Thanks, Vol.
But I'm still here and Blue Oyster Cult is still touring and releasing new music.
    I sure can pick 'em.

I had a weird journey in getting into this band. A buddy in the earlier 90's had a mixed tape his brother had made him to listen to in his car and he'd turn it on sometimes. At first, I was like, a band called Blue Oyster Cult? Sounds too strange. And then I would be like, put Rush or Floyd back on! But he would persist, and eventually the music won me over and I became a fan. The fact that the mixed tape only covered the Agents of Fortune through Imaginos era is probably why I am not as partial to the first three albums as many others, even though I did get into them years later. Such a good band, BOC is.
