Right now it looks like they're NOT requiring vaxx. The TM page for Dylan indicates vaxx/proof of negative test required for some shows but not others. Could change, of course...
Thanks for the reply. Which page did you find this on? Oh, I just found it on his official page clicking on the vip section. I'm guessing this was what you were referring to.
Bob Dylan Tickets, 2021 Concert Tour Dates | Ticketmaster Venues that require proof of vaxx/negative test have the "Health Check" icon. As noted, the Philly venue could -and I predict probably will - add that eventually.
My neighbor and I are going to get Pittsburgh tickets. It’s in a college gym/concert hall. It’s a new building and maybe acoustics will be good. Last show was 2008 and, fully understanding what to expect or not expect at a Dylan show, it just sucked. Or maybe I sucked, as it was the end of a one-off (well curated and run by Anthony Keides of RHCP) Pittsburgh festival. Gnarles Barkley, Spoon, and Raconteurs were all excellent and maybe I was just tired. That said, I’m really looking forward to this one.
The banner for the new tour is an image from the Rough and Rowdy Ways album promotion used long before vaccination shots were a thing. Yet a well dressed skeleton holding a syringe is certainly a startling image in these times. Anyways, I’m hoping Dylan does tour 2021- 2024.
Yes! So glad he is returning to the Anthem. That show in 2019 was great. Now just waiting to see if the presale code emerges for the Thursday earlier sale.
Disagree — but that's beside the point. How on earth does Hazel belong in a set of "kick ass balls to the wall bombastic blowout of magnificent righteous power & unprecedented glory.......Blow The Balls Of A Rhino At 40 Paces....BOB DYLAN ROCK THE JOINT" etc. etc.???
Maybe Bob considers the Never Ending Tour to have finally ended in 2019 and we'll get upcoming tours in three year periods. Or, "Rough And Rowdy Ways" is just the latest leg. Who knows with that fella.
Don't I know it. I wish he'd pen some goofy album lyrics as he did back for World Gone Wrong just so I could see what silly names he came up with for all the tours since then.
Tickets secured. I've never seen Bob Dylan (only got 'into' him earlier this year). I'm very excited!
I'll say this - Dylan's plan to be on the road in 2024 at the ripe age of 83 is the most optimism I've heard from him in years. More power to ya, Bob. Keep rolling...
My first Dylan concert was also in 1998 after Time Out of Mind had been released. I had been a casual Dylan fan since the mid 70s, but I stupidly never went to see him before then. He kind of lost me in the 80s until I heard Oh Mercy circa 1990. Then I started buying more albums on CD and one of my first "box sets" were Biograph and the 1st Bootleg Series release. With the 92 Tribute show and his 94 appearance at Woodstock 25th, I realized I was missing out not seeing him live. Loved TOOM. He played a great setlist which included many gems--Masters of War, Man in a Long Black Coat, and Blind Willie McTell! I knew from the Bootleg box that had been an unreleased rarity and couldn't believe I was hearing it live at my first show. Just an awesome experience. Bob Costas the sports announcer was sitting right in front of me. Have seen him over 20 times since 98!
I'm very thankful that Bob is still with us, healthy and looking forward to touring again. Thank you, Bob and band!
My brother, the huge Bob Dylan fan, has recruited me into seeking pre-sale codes for him. He is as big a Dylan fan as I am a Kate Bush one, and it's the least I can do for him. He could get to Cleveland, OH on November 5th, Columbus, OH on the 6th and/or Bloomington, IN on the 7th. If you have codes for any or all of these, please DM me. Thank you.
