Bob Dylan – Bootleg Series Vol. 14: More Blood, More Tracks (2 Nov 2018)*

I just got the six CD Deluxe set on Amazon for $78. Now I'm reading here about issues with the set. Wondering if that's why it's marked down

 

Mine was perfect. No issues at all.

 

The only consistent defect is there’s a few pages of the notebook that were omitted from the book. That’s been the case for all copies. The other quibbling is about specific choices in how certain tracks were presented. With the set likely going out of print it’s hardly worth worrying about these things in the present context.

 

Right on. Major price difference from 160 to $78!

 

I just wanted to buy a second copy of the LP, but as it turns out, local shops already sold out! didn't think this set would run out of print so fast.

I am somewhat addicted to this set! Oddly enough the versions of You’re Gonna Make me Lonesome are some of my favourites.

My favorites are "If You See Her Say Hello." I relate.

 

I picked it up for around $17 and am happy I did. I hear clear improvements over the CD version. The deluxe is tempting but probably not needed for me.

 

Much as I enjoy this set (and it is tremendous, in spite of Splicegate and Spooky organ-gate), it is somewhat annoying that they haven't listed which takes are complete/incomplete. That would have helped a lot. Now, I have a feeling someone upthread actually compiled this info, but I really don't want to wade back through 440 pages.....if anyone can point to this info, if indeed it exists, or re-post, I would be forever grateful.
Otherwise, I may try and do it myself. At some point. Perhaps.

This is really tempting, but I am still trying to track down Motorhead Cds... I really wish I had a money tree. God, the music I could get... Plus, you know, pay other bills too...

Well, I'd be inclined to run a QC check on it. One man's "complete" is another man's "what's this s**t?"

 

You might want to hold off on printing that list, at least if it’s the same one I posted earlier in the thread prior to the box being released. The notations were based on Krogsgaard’s sessionography, and haven’t been updated since we’ve gotten the opportunity to hear the contents for ourselves. If it is indeed my earlier list, there are likely uncorrected errors in it (though Krogsgaard’s detective work proved to be largely reliable for these sessions).

Thanks for the clarification, @DeeThomaz . I'd saved it to a PDF without making a note of the source, but now I see the file is dated 22 September so it's almost certainly yours.

My sincere apologies if anyone is confused or annoyed by my (re)posting it, but I'll bet there's not too much that needs amending, if anything.
