Apart from alternative words or lines in verses on the released take there are two other complete verses that I know of. One was slotted between released verses three and four:-

Well, the drug dealers are making big profits
Oh yeah, they say times were tough for a while
When the Russians bomb Las Vegas
They’ll be on a desert isle
And them big manufacturers are starvin’ though
Their profits are down beyond belief
Goin’ to have to send them a care package
    Or make it food relief

    The original last verse is:-

We need a man in a mask in the White House
Who’s got no name or important ties
Just as long as he understands the shape of things to come
He can stay there till he dies
Got to be an invisible man
Not a front man for some diseased cause
Certainly not a union man, an independent man
Not a man tied to social laws

It got as far as being described as being "the one" and "master" before the word "Not" was written in front of the word "Master". It's a "Not Master" ....:)

It's probably low on everyone's priority for this set but I'd love to finally get the B-side "Lord Protect My Child" on this. I don't know that it's ever been on cd before. Every one I've heard has cracks and pops from the original single release.

Assuming this release is genuinely happening, its an instant buy for me; great period.
I'd love it if we got something with the Plugz too, though there isn't much on the tapes I have heard, this little gem must have come from somewhere:

The Big Band version shows up here & there in obscure places. Most recently, it was included on the Japanese Singles 2CD set.

"Much later in the year" makes it sound like about 5000 months away.

7-8 months from now isn't so bad. Time is a jet plane...

So either we’ll get another greatest hits in whatever form in May or some kind of low-budget Villager box (latter wishful thinking

personally, i think they probably thought it was too close to the 1970 set.

but you do bring up a good point: they could push a Villager set for his birthday since it would contain all the 60s stuff that would excite more people than an Infidels set. i feel like Isis would have said something though if that were the case.

Sometimes. But when there’s the promise of an Infidels set on an increasingly distant horizon, Time Passes Slowly.

Late set is better than no set at all.

Actually, I might be the confused one. I could be thinking of "Angel Flying Too Close to The Ground," a b-side from 1983. Dylan's discography is like a labyrinth.
