    Very intrigued about these two.

There is no mention of either in Heylins' Revolution in the Air /Still on the Road. Google searches including Bob Dylan with either song title reveals very little other than links to the upcoming release.

I did consider that the listings might have been incorrect and these were actually covers. There is a song called Hollywood Angel by some electro group but was only released last year.

Nothing at all from Gwenevere other than some info on who she was:
"The name Gwenevere is an Arthurian Legend baby name. In Arthurian Legend the meaningof the name Gwenevere is: Fair one. Guinevere was King Arthur's mythological queen. Jennifer derives from this name"

  5. Yes, that's right, I stand corrected. Isn't it from the 1987 Dead tour?

I think that was Philly 87 with the Dead. I was there and thought he was going to do a Reader's Digest version of the song.

This is a great way of putting it, Ray.

I was initially both puzzled and intrigued about Desire .... but yeah it slowly pulled me in... a song about a boxer... a song about a gangster.... a song called "Sara".... songs co-written by Jacques Levy, whom I was well acquainted with...... a song where Dylan sings "I was sittin' home alone at night in L.A. watchin' old Cronkite on the 7 o'clock news...."

So, that album has a lot going on. And if some of the performances are less than perfect, maybe they are, maybe they aren't, that didn't bother me.

You know what pulled me into "Joey"? It was actually the drumming! No kidding! But yeah the story is pretty wild too!

    P.S. Emmylou on harmony!

All this Joey talk just makes me want to listen to Desire again (already gave the LP a spin just a couple days go)!

The only public utility to be mentioned in 2 different Bob Dylan songs!

Yup. When Joey bought it about two minutes in I thought "What is he going to do NOW?" He already did the Reader's Digest version of "Queen Jane" that night, letting it peter out after about a minute and then just moving on to the next song.

I just said as much above! :D Plus the tempo and feel is so deliberate I can for the most part perfectly time the cymbal hits when I’m air drumming.

I understand it’s not the best of Dylan, but it’s 11 minutes of interesting.

David Crosby couldn't spell "Guinevere" and maybe Bob couldn't either? :)

Someone here suggested a Ronee Blakley connection to "Hollywood Angel". Sounds like a good guess.

    I like your thinking! :)

Maybe it's a "real song", maybe it's something that Bob extemporized in the moment. We'll know in about 5 weeks.

I don’t have my Bob Dylan concordance handy. What’s the other one?? Can’t believe I can’t remember. My dad worked for Con Ed.

I'm happy for you. I'm almost afraid to ask, but what the heck does "due to a small muscle" mean?

Oh, ok. I thought maybe you were referring to something else for some reason,,,,,,

Bob can do this the easy way or the hard way.

He can hand over “Kaw-Liga,” “Little Moses,” and “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands” or we’ll just go get them ourselves. And if that happens, while we’re at it we’re gonna help ourselves to the long hidden SIR rehearsals of “The Purple People Eater” and “The Chipmunk Song” and share them with the world.

    Just sayin’.
