Here's Robbie (and Bob), supposedly in Belfast, flanked by the Fender amps and standing in front of the Leslie and the tilted stage monitor - and a rare onstage Garth sighting. And the amp head on the left is actually on top of the cabinet for a change.

This shot (below) shows what looks like extra gear onstage. It almost looks like there are five Fender amp cabinets here, along with the Leslie. (This is from the insert of the Hear The Document CD - if someone has a better scan, please upload!) Maybe CBS brought along a few extra pieces of gear to record one of the shows? RAH?

Robbie is also wearing the white suit in this RAH shot (below), so the photo above could be from the same night:

To think that the swirling ethereal waves of music that filled
concert halls and my brain came out of this little organ. My
admiration for Garth -- and Alderson -- has increased again.

i mean, short of everlasting world peace or whatever, lost bob dylan footage from '66 found and rescued is pretty much the best news ever

guuuhhh, i want them to stitch this all together dont look back-style and put it out as a limited series, let's say a romanoffs-length episode for each filmed tour date; hell, throw in the later woodstock stuff as a coda when you're at it. we just need one of those eccentric billionaires to fund its assembly

spectacular images, especially the paris birthday bash

Thanks for posting this amazing footage.
Dylan's video and film archive needs an objective man at the helm.

Like A Rolling Stone in G with a capo on the 5th fret. Never spotted that!

Yeah, cool stuff. And the short/announcement is a good sign that the stuff will be made available for viewing in some form at the Center, at the very least, if not some amount in a Dvd or streaming release.

Looking at footage and stills and observing behavior, Dylan was such
a girl in '66. There. I said it. Anybody wanna fight, I can stand it.

Actually, it's still in C, just like the record — he uses key-of-G chord forms because of the capo's position.

I believe he did LARS in G at the Isle of Wight show three years later, maybe elsewhere.

Spectacular stuff! During the video, the voiceover says "Even more importantly the process has unearthed previously unseen one of a kind performances for future generations of fans, scholars, and visitors to the Bob Dylan Center."

That implies that rather than just being available for scholars (that's everyone on this thread, amrite?) at the center, the film will at some point be available on a wider scale. Streaming is the obvious method, there being so much of it.

70,000 feet on 16mm film at 24 frames a second works out at more than 32 hours of film. Oh lordy, I could spend a week off work going through the whole film, what a prospect!

He was preparing for Cate Blanchett to play him in the movies?

This is still the all-time greatest bargain in CD box sets.

I’m aware of that; I kept it simple, thinking most guitarists would know what I meant. :)

I'm forgetting, which shows did the Beatles attend? was it Liverpool?

Has anyone compiled a celebrity attendance list for the 1966 tour?

I think the Beatles and the Stones were at the first London show.

Anybody have tips on grabbing individual artwork for each show? When I searched I found a link for all the art, but it was taken down.

To be honest, the artwork for this set isn't exactly worth a whole lot of time tracking down. The whole thing has a cheap feel about it. Fortunately, we were able to buy a lot of music for a cheap price.

More bands should take this approach when considering a box set. “Don’t spend a lot on the box and art design, just make it sturdy and allow easy access, cram a lot of music and maybe a small booklet. Photos can go on the disc sleeves.”
