How about Hi-Infidelity?
Oh, wait, that's been used before...
From one of the "Infidels" era typescripts:-
"The Bootleg Series Vol. 16: Taco Lips Apocolips"
Unlikely, but you never know...
The Bootleg Series Vol. 16: Inside the Infidels
"The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 : Sneakers For Housewives Vacuuming The Floor"
You're a trusted source of vintage paperwork references, but I'll need to see a scan of this one before I believe it!
"The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 : Flesh Zone Flash Of The Flesh"
"The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 : Ballads & Blues Of Hip WhityBoy & Buffalo Woman"
Okay, okay, I know when enough is enough...
You'll just have to trust me, scans are hard to come by. But the source is:-
Dylan Archive ID: 2016.01 B36 F09 011
typescript w/ pencil notes
Yep. "Heard it from a friend..."
As I was sending my post, I thought we were in free-association land. Then I realized that, indeed, all these phrases are lifted directly from the archives. It's incredible (to me) to see Tarantula-style word games in the development of those semi-serious Infidels songs. Endlessly fascinating, no lame areas with that guy!
I'd like to see the notebook, if it exists, for "New Danville Girl." Apart from anything else we'd find out how much was Dylan and how much was Shepard.
And do we know for sure that the “Brownsville Girl” revamp didn’t involve Shepard? I’ve always assumed all the new lines were solely Dylan’s work but I don’t recall seeing it confirmed one way or the other.
Bootleg Series 16: A Dump Like This
Hilarious! “Best in show!”
Have your people contact Bob’s people!
He contains multitudes, so I've been told.
Bootleg Series, Volume 16: Put Together By A Guy Making Thirty Cents A Day
Nothing to do for a couple of months…
yeah, i guess they usually don't announce until August...
…except sit here on this bank of sand and watch the river flow.
Not a guess.
Five or Six discs of 80's stuff.....official news in September.
Wow. If this is a Tell Tale bridge between Vol. 13 and Vol. 8, you you you got a hold of my heart.
Great news ... a personal "holy grail" for me, if done right.
