Listening to the quasi-bootleg From The Vaults this morning and salivating over the thought that we could see an official release of this caliber soon.

Those were/are awesome releases. Dandelion made some great stuff back in the days.

I'm wondering if the announcement will be on the 25th anniversary of Time Out Of Mind's release, then...

I remember the Lo-Fi version of Time Out of Mind that leaked out before the official release date.

Maybe there should be a limited edition vinyl release of that low quality bootleg, remastered from the original cassette.

At $50 a pop, it will sell out of course.

To make it even more desirable, they could use an in-focus print of the original cover photo.

Hi-resolution cover image with low-resolution music! Perfect.

What was the lo-fi version like? Was it early takes, or was it just a lo-res rip of the album itself?

Nothing different at all. Someone must have had access to the final mix and made a stealth cassette copy.

It was not bootlegged for sale, but traded by mail among collectors.

I got a similar item from Love and Theft, but decided to NOT listen to it.

I prefer to wait until an official release rather than listen to low fidelity previews.

Fantastic. Big question now is announcement before or after event.

Are these listening events normal for BS releases? Or are anticipating this to be a special one

After "Blowing in the Wind" leaked out from a stealth taper, will all journalists be required to listen in what is sometimes called their "birthday suits"?

You could be a journalist with this line of questioning.

I think you should petition for an invite to the listening event and then report back to us.:righton:

Usually there are not many weeks between listening and release.

A TOOM box would be cool, but I would love it if it turned out to be something totally left field just to keep us on our our toes.

Well, this might not hinder the dedicated taper...

I was busy being 9 and probably watching Salute Your Shorts, but probably not too terribly far from where you were, assuming you were born in the same place you currently live! (I'm a native P-towner too -- we may have discussed this before...)

Between Dylan snd the Stones it’s going to be an expensive fall. Not that I mind.

Whataya know about the Stones??? Anything rumoured?? (I may have seen a cryptic hint at B&B super deluxe - but I may also have been looking more into it than is actually there)

Hope it's a TOOM release but suspect it isn't
