Do we have lyrics for Wild Wolf? Are they online somewhere?

They were posted earlier on this thread, as I recall. I'll take a look and see if I can find them.

Copyrighted "Wild Wolf" lyrics (haven't compared against the CBT track yet, but I don't see the "national leader" line anywhere here, I'll have to see if it replaces the "missionary leader" reference-- am I missing something?):

Now the ruins are barely rolling / And the animals cant agree
On all the bushes in the nations / But nobody feels sorry for me
If I lost everything of all the cities / Yeah, but I can't help his smog
The day, I feel it / She sure is standing / But the holy book is written
Oh, what page / They are all there / And as for a natural warning
But nobody done yet understand / Just like Pharoah and his armies
They made of solid bread, yeah / That old bad wolf's gonna howl his way to morning's
Hold to some big cavern / I would sit and wait, calling my children out there
But I just don't mean to hesitate / And if I was a missionary leader
I would attempt to laugh and rage / Yet the wild wolf he's still bubblin' under
    And not a babe

Why is disc 6 labled bonus disc?

Because of the sub-standard sonics (to be alliterative). Don't let that scare you off!

The fact it's been on the bootlegs for ages aside, "One Kind Favor" (aka "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean") is amazing. Stunning to think only 6 years separated it's recording from Dylan's debut LP.

"Wild Wolf" is magnificent (if occasionally incomprehensible). My only wish is that it went on longer.

  9. I kind of took that approach in discussing the boot versions during the first section of this thread. With the additional material now available, I'm shortly going to undertake the same exercise and discuss how successful the creators have been in terms of audio quality during each era/chapter. Some sections are definitely better than others IMHO...

Your analysis would bring an appropriate symmetry to this thread.

Not sure if I've mentioned it yet, but "If I Was A Carpenter" is an unexpected delight (except in the sense that, yeah, of course, I expected basically any unheard Basement Tape to be a delight. So not unexpected at all, I guess).

Halfway into disc 3 and I'm Not There leaves me speechless. Even in this confection of riches it stands out as an amazing achievement.

If the aliens in V switched on a record player, what came out would sound like this.

Between the "hotel tapes," the first 4 songs of disc 1, and most of disc 6, are we hearing somewhere in there the follow-up to Blonde on Blonde that never was?
