2-Create a 20th Century Fox channel & put the classic TV shows & movies on there!

I thought the 1980's were a dark time for Disney. Did anyone see "Something Wicked This Way Comes" in the theater upon release in '83?

The simple fact is Disney has survived by buying other peoples ideas for years. Pixar Marvel Star Wars. When was the last time Disney had a big hit that was developed completely in house?

 

Probably Frozen, and even that had fairy tale roots to it.

 

The list is short for recent big hits and 4 of them are re-makes.

The Lion King (2019), Frozen I & II, Beauty & The Beast (2017), Zootopia (2016), Aladdin (2019), Jungle Book (2016).

 

Disney brings back a star of the past. But its real problem is the script

Iger just got rid of Kareem Daniel. I think it will only strengthen the company and its productions. Hope more heads will roll that have been responsible for compromising the content.

There's a big rumor that just hit today on TheWrap, and I have to admit, it would solve a lot of problems: it'd pay off all of Disney's bills, prop up Apple's streaming service, and combine two of the biggest world corporations who are not already in direct competetition with each other:

Note this is behind a paywall, but the headline is the gist of the story. And it's not impossible. It's been rumored before that Apple (worth $2.4 trillion dollars) is one of the few companies that could actually afford to buy all of Disney and keep it intact (Disney is currently worth $180 billion).

 

As others said streaming is becoming like cable.. Streaming has lost what it was suppose to be.
When tack on commericals .. it's the end for streaming.

 

Unless one is willing to pay money for no commercials. One has a choice.
