And apparently, he had COVID?

 

Yes.

 

So sad.

65 is not that old today.

RIP Bob. I remember you from when you hosted America's Funniest Home Videos.

I remember him as part of the huge phenomenon that America's Funniest Home Videos was in '89. He was the perfect host for that show. It was fun to later discover his raunchy comedic side. Very sad to learn of his passing.

Reports say he got the booster shot back in early December? Probably unrelated...

 

I'm sure it was either a deadly stroke or heart attack.

I was just on vacation in San Francisco two weeks ago, and visited the "painted ladies", and we started singing the Full House theme song. Great memories of the show and AFV. Bob seemed like a genuinely great guy. All these tributes coming out this week appear heartfelt. 65 is too damn young. It's awful.

PS - He was due to play my local Improv comedy club in two weeks, and I was contemplating going. The Improv already replaced him with another comedian. They didn't waste any time!

 

There's video on youtube from his Dec 13th podcast saying he had it a day or two earlier.

 

According to TMZ, it was one of those two.

 

Like me, TMZ is surely just making an educated guess, as nobody will know until the autopsy results come in. I just hope he didn't suffer too bad.

 

He likely went in his sleep and his hand was on his chest in several reports.

Even among elite athletes at high school/college age there has been a large rise in cardiac events after strenuous activity. Experts have been making connections to vaccination status, past Covid infection and being dormant for 18 months. UK and soccer players got far more coverage than any US athletes with the same issues.

For better and for worse, I think this Saget case will be heavily scrutinized. He will also be counted as a Florida Covid Death.
