Guys, PLEASE DONT FLAME ME....I'm only going to report what I just saw on TV.

Fox 5 News here in NY just ran a spot interviewing a respected doctor from Memphis.

He said he helped ELVIS PRESLEY FAKE his death in 1977. The Mafia, and certain VERY HIGH Government officials were aware of it and aided him.

The story is that Elvis was told that he would die if he did not totally reverse his drug lifestyle. The only way to do this was to drop out of sight completely.

Cl Tom Parker was paid millions of dollars to work the media into believing Elvis had died. When Tom Parker died, he left an estate of more that 25 million dollars.

The 1,000,000 insurance policy on Elvis Presley was never cashed, either by Lisa Marie, Priscilla or Elvis' Father Vernon. Since his death was ruled "Cardiac Arrest" the policy would have been paid to the beneficiary. It never was.

On Elvis's grave, his name is mispelled.

Elvis own cousins made the following statement to the Memphis press: "It sure dont look like my cousin Elvis in that coffin...looks like a wax dummy"

The doctor says that in late 2002, 25 years after his dissapearance, Elvis will re-emerge into the public view and do a benefit concert for a worthy cause.

They showed am picture of a white haired man holding Lisa Maries baby. Did it look like ELvis?? Yes and no. What does Elvis look like at 66?

What does all this mean?? I dont know, but I know one thing.

If this story beat the odds of 1,000,000 to 1 and turns out to be true, Elvis Presleys
concert would be the most watched program EVER and would generate many billions of dollars....possibly enough to find a cure for cancer.

Like I said.....PLEASE DONT FLAME ME...THIS JUST RAN ON FOX NEWS.

No flame here - but ALL of the FOX affiliates ran this story over the course of the last two days. It's old news. The doc put out his book in February. He even has his own website where he has all of his "evidence" posted. Garbled, voice altered sound clips that are supposedly old Elvi himself, letters, etc...

FWIW, I read a piece by another psychologist who is convinced that doc hinton really does believe what he's preaching and, simply, that "Mr. Alive Elvis" is probably doing the con job. Bottom line is that the good doc has set the ultimatum now that the "truth" will be revealed in 2002. Soon enough, he'll have to put out.

I was listening to 24 Karat hits today and I could swear that some of the Elvis vocal parts do not match with the original Sun recordings. Is it possible that Steve recorded some new Elvis vocals for 24 Karat Hits?

The saddest thing would be, if for some trillion-to-one long shot it was true, that NO celebrity would ever truly be dead in the future. Every conspiracy theory buff or idol worshipping fan who couldn't let go...would now have reason to believe that their favorites were still possibly "alive". Yikes!

    Jim Morrison
    Andy Kaufmann
    ????;)

Not gonna flame ya, but I hope you're not taking any of this seriously.

Elvis's middle name is NOT mispelled on his gravestone. The correct spelling is "Aaron". It is misspelled on his birth certificate, because Vernon Presley was not the greatest speller. In his early years, Elvis sometimes did sign it "Aron" like the misspelling, but in his later years, he decided definitively that "Aaron" was the correct spelling and he signed it that way all the time during his last few years. This info comes from Marty Lacker, a Memphis Mafia member who hangs out on the alt.elvis.king usenet newsgroup.

Oh, and before you ask: Elvis did not have cancer at the time of his death. Elvis does not have any children besides Lisa Marie. And that girl over in Sweden who claims to be the "real" Lisa Marie... she's lying.

More interesting: In an interview I read this week, Elvis's former lead guitarist, Scotty Moore, who was the guy who brought Elvis into Sun Records and stayed with Elvis for years, tells how Elvis's management grossly underpaid him and the boys in the band. Elvis kept the band on a salary at first and then as hourly help for years, etc., and that he likely only made $30,000 total in all those years playing and recording with Elvis. It appears that Elvis did not care and mostly stayed focused on young girls and drugs. So if Elvis is still around it might be best if he kept it to himself. Read the sad truth for yourself:

Well, I hate to be a skeptic, but I'll only believe this if he has Andy Kaufman open for him.

Well, in some respects, the question becomes, who cares? Even if he'd been abducted by aliens, Elvis is, as far as the world is concerned, dead, dead, dead as he can be dead (with apologies to Pink Floyd).

    Hi,

The media rocks!! Where would we be without quality and professional media? Who else would we turn to for insight into the real world? Where else could we get the true story?

Sorry, but I thought everyone was aware of this and that it was old news. In a recent interview, Elvis indicated that he was remixing his back catalogue for 5.1 surround DVD-A and also re-issuing Moody Blue 24 bit remastered on blue aluminum.
After this he plans on going into the studio with Rick Rubin to record a new album, possibly a box set since there is nearly 25 years of material in the can. A tour is said to be planned for the fall with a touring band comprised of Jimi Hendrix on guitar, John Bonham on drums and Dee Murray on bass.

    Hi,

This is not possible! Ya see, Elvis didn't approve of Lisa's marriage to Michael and refused to give her away at the wedding. Thus, Elvis doesn't want to ever be seen in public w/ Michael.

    So does this mean...

Steve has to start sending the royalty checks for the Elvis 24 Karat Hits and Elvis is back directly to Elvis?
