BTW, it was amusing to watch DePalma in one of the Body Double extra interviews where he talks about the kiss in that movie and how cheesy it ended up looking and how the audience laughed and he ultimately regrets that moment.

"Sisters" just arrived from Amazon UK. Back cover clearly says region "b". Are we sure this is going to play for me?

Agreed, plus I rec'd the vinyl of Mirror Ball, and it wasn't melted in the 109 "feels like" temps we're having.
I put the BD in my Oppo, and waited...came right up, no problem.

Accurate tracking info. Sorry about Movie Mars. I don't usually order from them unless it is through Amazon. I've had a few items disappear or not be shipped by them.

Freaky flick, but I like how it was explained that it was the lighting that made Margot look better than in any other role she had.
    Thanks again.

Well, a guy on Blu-ray.com pointed out, they could easily rape the color again, so waiting and seeing is likely the best move.

Forget the guy on that cesse pool, I am saying that now (though"rape" is a kind of weird word)! But again...the extras. :D

4k restoration plus Margot on talkshow good enough for me.

As long as they don't teal that thing up! I still am having issue with Dressed to Kill. Detail was great, but the colors were ASS (not to mention the elongated head debacle)!

Though there were strong opinions on this, and this is just my view.

I agree - avoided their Midnight Cowboy and Scanners releases for this reason. I’ve got Arrow’s blu of Sisters anyway so think I’m done here. I’m more excited/concerned about Shampoo.

Getting back on topic, Arrow's version is hard to beat, but I love the movie so much, it is hard to be done with it. I am keeping an open mind. It is great to have choices.

Body Double is a classic, maybe not the cool factor of Blow Out (1981).

Sisters was the first film where De Palma began to mine his love of thrillers. I think you will and it does have a nice twisty plot. Next we will see a U.S. new blu for “The China Syndrome” just because I ordered it from overseas!

I personally like every film I have seen. Even gave Passion another spin lately. Good movie too. Feme Fatale is also quite good.

Bkack Delilah was weaker, but I have warmed up to it over time. Not as bad as I remember with tempered expectations.

The Fury is his James Bond film, well opening scene anyway. :D

I suspect that's what convinced Tom Cruise to let him direct Mission: Impossible.

Body Double just could be his last good film, MI at least made him some money.

The Untouchables, Casualties Of War and Carlito's Way all beg to differ.
