But not as boring as Mike Love's band who has to play 900 dates a year playing mostly the same thing every night. :yikes:

To me the Christmas tour means a night of BB/BW material that I've never heard live before. I'd go in a minute. No Boston date yet, tho.

Mixed reviews, I know. But I just bought my tickets for this at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

Hope you get him on a good night. I hit four straight bad ones and decided to cut my losses. At a minimum, it's a great band playing terrific music.

Yeah, I know there is little time left. That place has great acoustics, too. It's where the National Symphony Orchestra performs.

Brian Wilson was best as a mysterious genius figure who never toured.

Well, he’s doing his Kennedy Center make up date (previously postponed due to back surgery) on November 5th so I rekon I’ll know then..

The $500 meet and greet is tempting but I’ll probably pass

Brian is definitely a hit and miss act to see, and has always been in some way.
As he ages, certainly more of a miss unfortunately.
He was really smoking late 90s' early 2000's, he did some wonderful shows.
The setlists were amazing too, not the greatest hits stuff he settles for now.
Gone are the days of Imagination, Til I Die, Melt Away, his awesome tribute to Dennis
doing Forever, Lay Down Burden all in one night!
    Incredible and touching shows!
The odd part is the Mike show has more gems in it now than Brian's....

Can it be much worse than Bob Dylan trolling his fans with Frank Sinatra covers? I’ve got my DC show tickets.

I have often heard that Brian himself is on and off (go figure) but that the band itself is so good that it can cover for him no matter what.

I’ve seen Blondie with the Stones so I guess it’s time to see him with Al and Brian.

I’ll take photos if they allow them
