Brockmire

That looked like a series finale but we are getting another season. This season was a big step back. Of course I'll still watch.

 

Juuust a bit out of left field, which is what I love about Brockmire. Ah, that sunset scene.

 

Never heard of this until today. It just got added to CraveTV in Canada.

 

Season 3 baby.

This show doesn't get much chatter around here, don't know why. Tonight's episode may have been the best of the series. Hank Azaria and JK Simmons were simply brilliant. One minute I'm laughing out loud and the next I'm all choked up. Very dark adult humor but man, is it good!

 

Agree. Great handy scene in the car.

 

Agree, but then they followed it up with a crappy season finale. Should've switched the two.

 

Underwhelmed by the first 2 episodes of the final season so far. Hope it picks up.

Yup, this season is pretty sad.

 

The whole "future" story line is a bit bizarre and was a bit jolting to be quite honest. Kinda like "where the hell did this come from?". If you asked me right now I'd say they should've ended it last season, but the end of the last episode gives me just a bit of hope. Also, I know Amanda Peet is just around the corner so maybe they can pull this out of the ditch before it's too late.

 

The dude blowing up was pretty cool .. and the 'future commercials' are funny. The rest .. meh.

 

Yeah, this last episode was pretty depressing. There's really been very little comedy in the first 3 episodes. If it weren't for sitting at home with not much else to do I'd probably bail out on the rest of the season. Sober Brockmire isn't all that great of a character either. Unless these last episodes really pick up we'll have to reopen the following thread so we can add Brockmire.

Tv shows that outlasted their welcome

 

I liked this at first, possibly because I've always liked Amanda Peet, and I thought the Charles character was really good. As the seasons have gone on, I've really grown to dislike it, and feel it's just gratuitous sex humor. If I were 16 again, I'm sure I'd love it.
I've tried to go back, and see if it works for me, but I think I'm done.

 

Leading up to Brockmire tonight, IFC will be showing A League Of Their Own and Major League.

 

The series finale is tonight! Will anybody be watching?

 

I've been watching although this season has been a dud. The last couple of episodes have been a bit better at least, but this season pales significantly compared to seasons 1 & 2.

 

Did anyone watch last night?

 

DVR'd it and just finished it a few minutes ago. It was OK. I just never got into the whole future theme of this season.
