And I was there at the Joe for both nights. I'll never forget Mitch Ryder during the `Detroit Medley' turning around and urging the Mighty Max to go `faster, faster!!'.
Any of the usual gossip, rumor, innuendo or speculation about what the release might be? (Or perhaps word has even leaked and I haven’t seen it). I must admit that I have much less anticipation than usual, as the Meadowlands show continued to deliver all month long. A worthy follow up to it at this time seems a tough ask. I got the Meadowlands show cued up again in my car this morning for a long family drive from Michigan to Wisconsin, but I was thinking if the show dropped before we left, some new Live Bruce would (regardless of era) make the drive all the sweeter. (I keep thinking Reunion or Sessions or HT\LT Band—though it’s based on nothing more than what we haven’t had in a while).
At best. Stockholm Dust Night will do me fine personally, if I ever desire to listen to it again. I personally don't have any interest in a new solo Bruce release right now. None at all. To each their own but I know most would rather have a show with The E Street Band - as 6/12/20 was assumed. Oh well. $12.95 saved. Whoopee.
By the way, does anybody have the 2016 MetLife Stadium box set as pictured here: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - MetLife 2016 Box Set Looks like a great set, especially as those shows are highly regarded. They even made a custom box for it, which is probably more than they've done for any other Archive release. Are these factory pressed CDs?
I believe the initial run for the Metlife box was on factory cds. Not sure if they still are. As for today's release, all I will say it that it is only 3 short weeks until July 3rd!
Hope that's for real. I love these solo Bruce sets. This one starts with Downbound Train (tour debut) apparently.
Very good show and a beautiful and epic midsummer weekend in Stockholm(one of the prettiest cities in the summer imho) I had 2nd row tickets for the show. Bruce delivered a handfull of rarities but I'm not buying this. His acoustic shows are good live but it's not something I listen to at home...
Yep, I'll pass on this too, recalling that Bruce's 8 min of distorted Dream Baby Dream was the least effective close to any of his shows that I ever attended. And trying to keep the flames of hope alive that someday they'll release another pre-78 show, from the most fascinating part of his career.
I'm with Jimmy B. Stockholm Dust Night is good enough for me. I've made my contribution to Bruce for about 15 of these Archive releases with mixed results as far as sound-wise goes. I like D&D. I have a few of the shows from the tour and they are quite good. However, I don't return to them often enough to warrant a purchase in this case.
I like aspects of the 2005 shows, but I have the three other shows already released and they do not make for a uniformly satisfying listening experience. Can't see the point of acquiring another.
