I don't get into stars and show business stuff-too much more to focus on in life. I liked many of the movies he was in. What he does in his personal life and in interviews does not much matter to me.

Same here - it's just a case of good at his job and a person I wouldn't have wanted to be around. Makes no impact on how I enjoy his movies.

I get that. There are a number of musicians I love that someone would have to pay me some big bucks to spend personal time with them.

My dad, 82, has the same diagnosis. Very sad. He was an electrical engineer in the Air Force. Retired as a colonel. Holds multiple math related masters degrees. Taught various math classes at MIT part time for evening classes when stationed outside Boston in the late 70's. All in all a very competent, well educated man. Today he can't perform the simplest of tasks. Has no concept of numbers and letters. Every day tasks are beyond his comprehension. Ask him if he's brushed his teeth and he has no idea what you're talking about. The saddest part is he is totally aware of what is happening to him and he gets so so frustrated.

Particularly sad given that his physical health is presumably otherwise good, given the physical prowess on display in his films. He may carry on for some years subsequent to losing active awareness of his surroundings. Godspeed to him.

Bruce is brilliant throughout Pulp Fiction, but my god that French girl stinks up the whole film for me. I think accusations that Tarantino can't write female characters are generally unfair, but they seem entirely justified when you watch her scenes and listen to her awful, twee dialogue.

She's just incedental in that little scene though.....just askin' 'bout Zed...Bruce delivers the word. Of course, after he'd already applied the Samurai, and his fellow captive, Marsellus, blew Zed's nuts to smithereens!

Typically I don't care for violent flicks but.....Quentin's movies do it in such a fashion, ala Kill Bill as well....that I love 'em.

Now...the female characters and dialogue in KB is great, to me !

Bruces’ wife Emma Heming has asked for people to stop shouting out to Bruce if they see him in the street.

I read that Australian director Edward Drake is lobbying for Bruce to receive an honorary OSCAR. I do hope this happens, Bruce has given so much pleasure to so many throughout his movie career, he deserves to be recognised.

  15. He’s a fine, charismatic actor. I don’t wish this on anyone.

Yes, the transition state, where the person is aware of what's happening and is helpless to do anything about it, is the worst. Eventually, they fade into a cloud where they don't really know, and it's the people who love them who hurt the most.

It wasn't that long ago that he had a semi-fake fight with Stephen Colbert on the Late Show.

That was in early 2016, when he was in a play on Broadway.

Sad to think of Bruce in this way.

He is one of the few that could carry even the lesser scripts
