Bruce Willis - Favorite Performance

Well, I've seen Die Hard countless times.

 

I forgot about The Bonfire Of The Vanities. Plays a drunk journalist.

 

I don't know if this is the movie Edwin was talking about, but:

Ocean's Twelve is one film Bruce plays himself and a switch portrayal for Julia Roberts also.

Glad to see Moonlighting has gotten a few mentions on this thread. One of my all-time favorite shows and virtually forgotten nowadays. I still remember how odd it was (at first) to accept Bruce as an action hero when Die Hard came out while ML was still on the air.

He actually lives 'around the corner' from me and goes to the Starbucks at our local Target every morning for his coffee fix.

Interesting! Does he actually hang out there? Does he seem pleasant when people approach him?

 

I haven't seen him personally, but apparently he's around town a lot. He has a young wife and two small kids. He likes the quiet domestic life apparently.

 

Wow, I used to live in Carmel -- great to know he's "in the neighborhood" now!

 

I like loads of his stuff. He's great Loved him in Moonlighting, 12 Monkeys, Looper, Pulp Fiction, Die Hard, etc etc. Seems a good guy by all accounts too.

 

I like that part in The Last Boyscout where he wakes up in his car"I got so drunk last night I******** a squirel to death!"

Huh - I didn't know Willis had remarried after Demi.

Looked up his current wife. She's not truly "young", as she's 40, but that's young compared to Bruce!

Indeed...much re-watch value on most pf Bruce's films...

Moonlighting

 

What a great show and probably would have creatively survived if made in today's era.

Think about it...the two leads and creator are burned out after making "mini movies'' for a few years on a hectic schedule.

They are trying to keep up with a 22 episode season and failing miserably in that respect.

Then the female lead gets pregnant with twins and the show implodes.

In today's era it would have been on cable or an internet channel.

They would have aimed for 10 great episodes.

Burned out? No problem best solution is to shut the show down for 6 months.
