Wish they had a store in every state (at the least) :(

  5. Hilarious, with what I went through today, and how much they ripped me off for.

I had the most awful day and am out a lot of money because of them, and it's a joke to you. Thanks a LOT.

    Wait, what’s this about Jimmy?

I still buy some new releases from Bullmoose, never any complaints with price or service. Used CD prices seem to have about doubled though.

Hope they never get into collectible figurines.

I would not trust them in a china shop. :hide:

The new Bullmoose website is not a good as the old one. I used to be able to search for just Jazz titles on their old site and there would be hundreds of titles. I kind of liked doing that, cause sometimes I would find titles that
they filed under a different name.

Now no matter how many times I change my store location it claims there are only 961 compact discs, 9 of which are jazz titles? Seems like you cannot search their whole inventory any longer, unless
you type in the artists name.

if you click on the box Find In Store it will list all stores and availability. Not quite as user friendly but still workable.

Bull Moose is my absolute favorite store of all time. I live about 2 hours from the Salem location and I try to make it up there a few times a year to trade stuff in and just browse. At least once a year (usually during the summer) I spend a weekend in Maine and typically visit the Portsmouth, Portland, Scarborough and Mill Creek stores, though I wasn't able to make the trip last summer unfortunately. Two things are guaranteed among all their locations, the staff is pretty friendly and even if I'm not looking for anything in particular I always walk out with something!

    A Class Act ? How's this for being a Class Act ?

" Our staff will continue to be paid as though they are working their normally-scheduled shifts. "

" Bull Moose will be an online only retailer from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. To be clear: our physical retail stores will be closed to the public until March 27. We are taking this step to help protect our communities and our coworkers-- and to help beat back Covid-19.
Our staff will continue to be paid as though they are working their normally-scheduled shifts.
We will continue to pay close attention to state and federal authorities. This plan will change if it needs to.
More information will soon be available on our website on how we will handle special orders and pre-orders.
Thank you all for your understanding."

    Hello, all,

In line with the comment above, I just saw a post from Bull Moose on Facebook, and they are seriously struggling, as so many small businesses are in the U.S. at this time. All Bull Moose brick-and-mortar stores are still closed, and wonderfully, after three weeks of this, their employees are still being paid their full wages-- but sales are way down, and if Bull Moose are even going to stay afloat, much less prosper, at this moment, they really need our support. Their online orders, since the store closings, simply have not come close to keeping up with the usual store purchases. (I've always been an online customer, as I don't live anywhere near any of their stores.)

Please, if you can manage it without putting yourself and your loved ones in a financially precarious place at this time (I know that people are losing their jobs right now, so I'm not writing to those people with this plea!), put in an order, or two, or whatever you can manage, to Bull Moose online. I put in three orders last month and have already placed two large orders this month. Rght now, I can afford to do so. ( That may well change in the near future, if the American economy stays largely closed down through the summer.) Anyway, if you can support Bull Moose, I know that they would be deeply appreciative, and you will be literally helping them to stay in business in this very challenging time. They deserve it. They are truly "a class act!"

As a Mainer who has been a loyal Bullmoose customer for 28 years, I also want to encourage folks to order from them. Or order from your local independent at this time. Yeah, you might get it cheaper or quicker from an online behemoth, but when this is all over, you won't have any choices left, as that local store may not be there anymore.

I’ve made a couple of modest purchases over the last month and plan on another later this week.

I've been sending my friends who collect physical media to Bull Moose's website. Unfortunately, my job has recently placed me on furlough until early May at the very earliest, and I do have some bills to take care of so unfortunately it may be a little while before I can personally place an order, but my cart has a few things in it for when I can do so! Until now I am referring anyone to Bull Moose who mentions wanting to buy any physical media.

Thanks to this thread I'm seeing how important it is to support local businesses such as Bull Moose. I recently ordered the recent Rory Gallagher Check Shirt Wizard from Walmart with local store pickup. I cancelled that order and ordered the set from Bull Moose along with the latest Kenny Wayne Shepherd Blu-ray Audio.

Feel bad that I ordered the APP I Robot Blu-ray Audio from importcds. From now on I'll make every effort to order all music from Bull Moose. I really hope they and so many other small businesses in the US can survive through these very difficult times.

I wish that there were an option here to "love" this comment, rather than just "liking" it! :righton:

Bull Moose has always given me very good prices (spending $30 always means free shipping, and it has for years, long before the virus lockdowns), and their customer service is outstanding, and with each purchase, customers can build up credit to be applied to future purchases! (Also, their employees truly love music-- working for Bull Moose is not just another job to them.)

I hope that Bull Moose can stay in business and do well as long as I'm still in this world, and I don't plan to be leaving for the next few decades, at least, if I can help it! :)

Seeing the title, I was excited this would be a thread about Bull Moose Jackson.

    Oh well. So it goes.

Decided to use utilize some stimulus cash and made a fairly sizable order with the Moose. I really want to support my local store here in Charleston and they're even offering free shipping with no minimum purchase. They keep encouraging folks to go to Discogs and buy from them, but they rarely update it. Nothing on my want list shows up, so they lose out and Bull Moose wins. They always have plenty of what I want online. Thank you Bull. :righton:
