Has anyone in the US ever bought used LPs from Japan? like on Discogs? Are there duty fees charged? If so what type charges are typical?

I have bought from Japanese sellers on Discogs a handful of times and have never had to pay any kind of duties.

I usually buy from sellers on eBay. I can have half a dozen LPs shipped DHL Express for $26 total. Find sellers that use this shipping method and you'll have your records faster than most U.S. sellers.

Never had to pay any duties, but I can't guarantee anything for your transactions.

True. It’s, um, actually somewhat bizarre.

I didn’t have any extra import taxes. It was years ago but I bought about a dozen records off Discogs from Japan to here in the US.This one guy had everything I had been looking for and the prices were lower then.I didn’t haggle but he even shipped it free.Usually EMS is good from Japan. As of lately many Japanese sellers use DHL.Everything arrived pristine as can be.
