I’m curious if anyone has any experience buying records from Facebook groups such as
Vinyl LP Community: Records For Sale
    Vinyl Collectors and Trading Group
    Wannabye Vinyl Records

There doesn’t seem to be seller ratings so I’m wary.

I never knew they existed. I wonder if they have such groups for CDs?

Wannabye is solid. As long as u buy from Michael Bedford (he is the main dude That runs it ) Excellent across the board .. his LPs are top notch and he is honest and has decent pricing. There are others selling on there and they can be hit or miss. But he is solid !! I have been buying from him for awhile and always very happy. He is reasonable and sells quality.

I'm on a few local ones. I haven't bought anything yet but there's quite a bit of transactions happening and I see little complaints.

Like any marketplace don't do anything dumb like pay with friends and family instead of goods and services. If you follow the rules that are meant to protect you, they generally do :)

My experience is these groups are just filled with sellers who want top dollar for their junk. So they cross-post to a bazillion sites in hopes to find the greater fool.

This is where I have done the majority of my selling for years now. Fewer fees than Discogs or eBay. All you need to do is build up some creditability for yourself
