Bypassing tone controls from Dyna Pas preamp

    As for the 105k 400V caps, I can't remember how the multiplier works in that method of cap value notation. Is that a 0.1uF cap, or a 1.0uF cap, or 0.01uF...???

    If your LOUD tuner sounds like it has enough bass, then the value is probably okay. If the cap is too small you'll hear it as insufficient bass. If it's too big, well, it's almost not possible for it to be too big in that part of the circuit. Mine has a 10uF cap there...

    Just curious if you got your PAS going without the hum? I'd like to make these mods to a PAS I purchased that is heavily moddded, by adding a stock board and installing it with the the filter/tone/loudness controls left out of the circuit.

    I never did get my PAS working after this thread, got packed up and put away, I'll have to give it another try. I took out some cap or bypassed something I probably shouldn't have, is my guess.
