That's two things that are played out on TV- Jerry Springer and Court/Judge shows. A bunch of these Court shows have only lasted one season and been canceled over the last 10 or so years and I don't see how adding a passé Jerry Springer as the "attraction" is going to make this one last amongst established shows like The People's Court, Judge Judy, Judge Mathis, and Judge Joe Brown.

    Another phony arbitration show.

On the plus side, when I explained to my mother in law that Judge Judy wasn’t a real court she didn’t talk to me for years.

He's one of those guys who had a show that seemed like it went off the air like fifteen years ago but somehow kept a cult following. Like Ricki Lake, he definitely pushed the envelope for trashy tv and both the fights and zany tabloid style guest arcs got old pretty quickly.

The original talk show ended its newly produced episodes on July 26, 2018 and all shows aired since are reruns, but still, if you've seen one of them, you've seen them all.

BTW, Jerry was once the mayor and city council man of Cincinnati who was best known at that time for paying a prostitute by check and ended up getting in trouble with the law for doing so to the point of the newspaper getting a copy of that check

I have an attorney friend who calls her "binding arbitrator Judy".

Will Jerry let the plaintiff and defendant go at it physically? Lol. I'll agree that there is potential.

Wow. I hope you're joking (about your Mom not talking to you for years because of that)... If not, that's really sad.

Here's an article about how the TV Court shows work:

i do find The People's Court and Judge Mathis pretty entertaining shows and sometimes the cases are interesting.
