    Yeah really! 1955????
I'm sure Dave and I, being in 2 major cities (ok, I'm CLOSE to a major city!) can attest.....it's very "culturally diverse".

By and large that's true (bad stories from my Father-In-Law), but I had the best time with my wife there about 12 years ago. We were really young, slept in the car in the city (no money!) but near churches so people would feel guilty if they messed with us. Nobody ever did, in fact, we found most everyone to be very nice. It wasn't like we looked like money, like they were trying to get us to spend cash by being nice - this was just people being cool. At a Monsieur Donut (did I get that right?) this really cute girl at the register didn't speak word one of English, but we had the most fun time trying to understand eachother - it was truly funny. Eventually, I got up the nerve to try a butchered accented version of raspberry (framboise) and she lit up with delight that we were getting through to one-another . Nobody laughed at our expense, we didn't have a chip on our shoulders and it was just playful fun (I think some USA residents do, expecting English to be understood everywhere).

90% of my family is French-Canadian (only because they're so "prolific" :D).

The nightlife rules in Montreal! Those freakin' people have stamina to spare! Toronto isn't too shabby either. :D Hartford has a *lot* of catching up to do (a total bore)...

I've been, and I'm well aware of the diversity.

But you have a lot more 'white guys' than Mexico.

    Oh, never mind. :D

Isn't it kind of dopey for the Canadians to invite Conan over to their country to do his show the way he always does, and then when he does what they hired him to do, get all upset over it?

Rich, you are being led around by the media my friend. The reason that Canadians are POed isn't because of what Conan did or said. It's because of the waste of taxpayers money on something so entirely unnecessary in these crushing economic times up here.

If a thread is about Canadian politics, does it not count as a political thread? :shh: :D

A LITERAL thread crap, Mike V?

Anyway, Montreal is still a great city, and as Rich said, they invited Conan up in the first place! Didn't they expect him to do the voodoo that he do so well?
