His career is pretty much already over anyway.

I had to look up the name of the show, but the two executive producers were very familiar.

  6. He’s been able to pick up a number of series of late including this and The Haunting of Hill House, Jack Ryan, How To Get Away with murder, American Crime, All The Money in The World....he’s been working consistently.

    Well that’s good news then.

  8. He’s a terrific actor but I can’t get behind him as a performer if he did this. It was a 14 year old girl while he was working on the 1984 movie “Iceman”.

This reminds me of Stephen Collins.

The one show on that list that I really miss is "Vinyl". That was a great show about the record biz in the 1970s.

just a guess, but i'm thinking money here.

by cancelling they don't have to pay spade any longer, and he probably commands a decent wage. just easier, and much cheaper, to let it die.

It probably got low ratings and didn't really do well.

Then why not cancel it before this happened?

  19. SyFy’s Magicians was cancelled and had its last episode the other day. At lot of viewers were caught off guard by this, but has any SyFy scripted show ever gone beyond 5 seasons?

I'm not sure Leslie Nielsen would be up for bringing it back. Drebin's doing his lounge act now in the Stateville Morgue.

AdAge says the whole Upfront schedule, where TV nets, cable netlets, streamers big and small, and other programming small fry pitch their Fall TV skeds to advertisers and ad agencies during mid-May, has been dropped of course.

This saves me from starting a whole new thread like I do every year with "Upfront" in the title, which people apparently don't understand, so they keep sticking links, one show at a time, into this outdated thread about 2017.

I look forward to keep track of not only the cancellations every year, but the scheduling of new shows and time slot changes during the upfronts, because it helps me keep straight what I need to warn my DVR about.

This fall in particular is gonna be either a zoo...or a half-empty zoo, considering nobody's in production these days. Look forward to prime-time-after-prime-time block of America's Funniest Tic-Tok's. :sigh:
