I agree -- I thought it did well enough to warrant a second season -- I'd prefer this over "Bless This Mess", which I am just not feeling.

I agree that "Life In Pieces" is great -- I think it's seriously underrated with a terrific cast. I never watched "Modern Family", so I have no point of reference there.

You are missing out on Modern Family.

Life In Pieces was drier more adult comedy that I don't think many in the US relate to. Plus it is a disjointed collection of three stories a week that somewhat don't relate directly to each other while still following a theme. It is a different thing that I think is mostly great and look forward to every episode.
I missed when the dropped the outro teaser before commercial breaks that were different cuts of the same thing. In a previous season, before the commercial break they would tease the next story but the tease would be from a different take that didn't match what they ended up airing. I thought it was fun.

To think Young Sheldon has almost twice the market share 1.5 vs .8 for LIP says much to me about the US viewer. I'm not sure how anyone can like Young Sheldon but it's still going.

Gee. I like Young Sheldon AND Life In Pieces, and I'm sad that the latter is being cancelled.

Agree about Murphy Brown they forgot that good comedy is comedy first, message last or not at all.

I must admit that Young Sheldon turned out better than I had expected. I think the network did well in casting Zoe Perry (Laurie Metcalf's daughter) as Young Sheldon's mom and Annie Potts as Meemaw.

I will miss Life In Pieces

I'm not a regular watcher and only caught a couple of eps but I thought it was a lot better than I was expecting it to be.

Life in Pieces was hilarious. My favorite character is the the bald-headed doctor. He's such a dufus. Very smart, yet someone with no common sense. But I knew that show was probably on life support since it was given a shortened season the past year.

    I'll miss Life In Pieces.

As for Modern Family, next season will be it's last (and I'm fine with that, it's definitely run it's course). Started out as a very clever show and kind of went flat over the last couple of years.

Glad my favorite network comedies at the moment, NBC's Superstore and Brooklyn Nine-Nine have both been renewed.

  24. Every time I watched I thought it was too smartly written for network TV. I was pleasantly surprised when this season showed up and then they cancel it the next week. I'll miss it.

  25. Sheldon's sister is my favorite. Whether it's her comic timing or good editing, I don't know but she always cracks me up.
