Eh, there's a lotta distortion in the original 1960s American Capitol mono mixes -- I prefer the cleaner sound on the UK mixes.

What’s the missing fourth album? It skips one.

Interesting how, like Germany and some other countries, you got comps and UK track list LPs ... wonder what the thinking was there. The US went all in with its own ideas till Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, but Japan, Germany, Canada and others did both. Maybe they were hedging their bets to see which fared better in the marketplace?

After listening to the uk mixes for years, I've been picking up the cd u.s. versions and those u.s. mixes rock! I like the variations and different mixes and I'll admit I like the whole presentation better even if it's a little quirky almost distorted in some cases that works better for example mono "you can't do that" and "roll over beethoven" from 2nd album are superior. They sound powerful.

Just being clear...the mixes are the same...more an EQ and addition of effects thing.

She's A Woman is unlistenable. If I never hear the DD version of "I Feel Fine" again, that's fine with me.

You're right, ok the one I'm thinking of is "something new". At least 3 mixes are different from UK I'll cry instead long version., when I get home different vocal, any time at all different bridge.

Don't know who's seen it yet but this video has some neat info on the Capitol albums. Kinda made me interested in listening to them even though I'm more used to the standardized UK editions.

None of the Dexter stuff is an improvement, but those 2 win the award for being ruined the most.

"Something new" Mono is great. Some variants of those particular 3 songs from the uk just enough for the die hards to notice
