Cassette Tape Rewinder.. Any Opinions?

    Wow, what a piece of work that she can't even be bothered to throw a tape into a unit which originally sold for $15 that she's now asking $150 for. I don't blame you for steering clear of that seller...

    The device used to exist, and it prolongued the heads' lifespan considerably.

    The tape is not touching the heads when rewinding or fast-forwarding, except if you're using the music search feature (if your deck has it) to automatically find the next or previous track.

    Exactly. The big advantage to these units is that theses can wind several times as fast can a cassette deck.

    In case you didn't know -- a Bic pen works much better to manually wind a cassette than a pencil. Japanese pencils are thicker and work fine as well, but the ones sold in the West are thinner and don't work unless you jam them in at an awkward angle.
