Killing time is great, but I think my favorite from the album is Life. But the whole album is a favorite for me
I have a Cat Stevens (compilation) 1984 CD pressing titled Footsteps In The Dark. (which I don't see much of in the 2nd hand CD shops these days).... 1. The Wind 2. (I Never Wanted) To Be A Star. 3. Katmandu 4. I Want To Live In A Wigwam. 5. Trouble. 6. On The Road To Find Out. 7. If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out. (from Harold and Maude) 8. Where Do The Children Play? 9. Daytime. 10. Don't Be Shy. (from Harold and Maude) 11. How Can I Tell You. 12. Father And Son. 13. The Hurt. 14. Silent Sunlight. Quite a nice array of not too mainstream tracks.
Listening to Izitso for the first time in a dog’s age. Still remember the 8 track breaks. A work of genius.
Typical of today's digital consumption, the OP has acquired all major albums of an artist and yet still needs to ask where to start. Nothing to draw in the listener. There is no process of exploration. When was the last time somebody put on a pre-1990 vinyl record and wasn't intrigued in someway?
Has absolutely nothing to do with analog or digital but it seems one side has to drag this out each time.
I would hardly call those his peak, but they are worth visiting just to hear how he started and how he would evolve.I really liked his two big early hits, but they gave no indication of what was to follow. Indeed, by 1969 it looked as though his musical career was over.
