Just saw a tv ad for Circuit City Stores for all* CDs $9.99 until 12/24. I assume it is just in stores, and i know most stores don't have much.

    *priced $13.99 or less

i just left there, and boy are the pickins slim.

probably the best deal would be the beatles "love" for $9.99, which is about as cheap as was anywhere other than wal-mart ($9.72).

the circuit city i was just in had almost as many rap CD's as rock CD's. :(

CC isn't really worth the trip anymore for CDs even at that price.

    From All Music Guide:

The group's debut album, entitled Procol Harum, managed to reach number 47 in America during October of 1967, based on "A Whiter Shade of Pale" being among its tracks (which included the first version of "Conquistador") -- but a British version of the LP, issued over there without the hit, failed to attract any significant sales. The single "Homburg," however, got no higher than number 34 in America a month later.

Procol Harum's self-titled, debut album bombed in England, appearing six months after "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and "Homburg" with neither hit song on it. The LP was successful in America, where albums sold more easily, but especially since it did include "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and was reissued with a sticker emphasizing the presence of the original "Conquistador," a re-recording which became a hit in 1972.

Whiter Shade of Pale was not on the UK version of the LP.

Thanks for the heads-up on this sale! I hadn't heard anything.

I ran over there today and found several SACDS sale-priced at $9.99.
They also had several Stones SACDs and Kinks SACDs still there.
And there were still copies of the 2cd Lennon Working Class Hero still there.

Momumental waste of my time on a miserable day. I'm getting too old and picky. If I didn't know better, I 'd think that they were getting out of the CD business???

Did they have the two latest Kinks SACD releases? Low Budget and Showbiz? I still need Showbiz and have found on-line pricing to be higher than expected.
