CDs where a track was cut from the album "to fit music on one cd"

Probably the most irritating thing in my opinion is to see where a record label decided to eliminate a track "to make it fit on one cd." They did it with Gord's Gold and "An Affair on 8th Avenue." Are there others that you can think of where that's happened?

The original CD release of The Cure’s Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me omitted “Hey You”.

Same deal with the “Why Can’t I Be You” extended remix on Mixed Up.

Don Henley dropped A Month of Sundays from the vinyl of Building the Perfect Beast.

Trisha Yearwood just dropped a COUPLE from her latest record on vinyl in 2020....

LA Guns Cocked and Loaded....I feel like that was missing the last track on vinyl.

It was actually fairly normal toward the end of the vinyl run. They would call them "bonus tracks"...available "only on CD and cassette"...which translates to "ONLY not on vinyl".

David Sylvian - Gone To Earth: The first releases on CD omitted four of the ambient tracks that were included on the original double LP. Only in Japan was the album issued on 2 CDs with the full track list. In the rest of the world, the full version only became available in 2003.

Aretha Franklin's One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism dropped some of the spoken word sermonizing. They made the original album a bit windy so it didn't hurt, but on the other hand they cut one of the better ones by Jesse Jackson.

    Also the Jam's Snap!

There was a Big Star twofer that cut two songs for reasons of time. Ack.

The Jam’s compilation double album had several songs cut for the CD version which was also renamed Compact Snap!
(“Compact” meaning CD but also seemingly indicating it has been trimmed to fit on one disc)

Wasn't a track lopped off of Ozzy's "Speak of the Devil" CD too?

Thanks! This helps as I consider what albums to buy. Gord's Gold was one of them.

Pretty sure Guns N Roses dropped a track called Atlas Shrugged from Chinese Democracy due to time restraints.

I think the first U.S. CD of English Settlement by Xtc is lacking one or two tracks from the 2-LP set. But since that's the only version I've ever owned, I couldn't even tell you what they are!

"Leisure" and "Down In the Cockpit" are missing from early CDs. I prefer those two to "Fly On the Wall" and "Snowman".

    Here's an odd one:

The old MCA two-fer CD that combines two Jimmy Buffett albums shaves off one track so they will both fit. :tsk:
