Yesterday for £1 I got Porridge, the film spinoff from the classic sitcom. I first saw it at the cinema when I was a teen

Latest find: Absolute Power starring Clint Eastwood. No idea if it’ll be any good, but I do love C.E.

Found these 2 for 50p each, very apt as the new version is out soon and i'm a fan of David Lynch's version of DUNE.

The Damned United, for 50p, which probably means nothing to the vast majority of people on SHF.

    It’s a solid haul.

The two Woody Allens are excellent, especially Zelig.

Edge of Darkness is disturbing and compelling drama. Well worth seeing.

I actually haven't seen any of these either, but have to say you got a great deal on them: They're never that cheap around here... One thrift charges $1.99 (US) for each DVD, another charges $1.38 (US) for them...

A still sealed Only Fools and Horses DVD number 13 for £2. It probably doesn't mean much to anyone, but I saw it a few days ago and had to check to make sure it had the uncut version of A Royal Flush. It currently sells at a premium to the in print cut version (around £20 for sealed copies).

A good watch, but doesn't bear much relation to actual events. For example, Derby played Leeds before the quarter final of the European Cup in 1972/73, not the semi-finals as indicated in the film.
