This is really sad news...Charlie was one of the great rock band drummers. Another one musical great leaving us. 80 years old RIP.
My hero since I was in junior school. Saw them live when I was 12. Been to 60+ shows over the years. Finally came face to face with him in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in Paris in 2007. I stood there with a stupid grin on my face and couldn’t think of anything to say. He just nodded and walked past me and out the door.
I knew when he pulled out of the tour that bad news would quickly follow. Same thing happened with my father. When "things" are that far progressed and you're old, that's how fast it is. No amount of money can change that. RIP to a great drummer, condolences to his family.
