I'm loving the keyboard rig. I spy a Korg MS20 synthesizer sitting on a Vox Continental organ and it looks like a Memotron (modern digital mellotron) underneath the Minimoog. Cool stuff.
There also seems to be Wurlitzer on top of a Rhodes in the other picture.

  5. Pre-ordered 'Betty's Self-Rising Southern Blends Vol. 3, and this must go with it.

The pre-order links for this, I'm betting, will hit first week of May. Just a hunch..

Tuscaloosa, Mobile and New Orleans Ravens Reels now up on live CRB.com. That NO show seems awfully short to me. Did they open up for someone or was it part of a festival?

New Orleans was a festival set. They actually had some extra time and added some songs as you can see from the difference in my official planned setlist and the actual show tracklist. The show was a smoker, don't let the the length throw you.

The gem of the three new Ravens Reels is the Tough Mama (Jam) from Tuscaloosa. They absolutely went into warp drive and landed in a whole other dimension. Don't miss it!!

Episode 24: Neal Casal of Chris Robinson Brotherhood
    April 19, 2017

I sat down with Neal Casal guitar player extraordinaire for the CRB to get his take on what the Betty Blends project, an update on CRB's forthcoming release and a few other items including information on a potential new Circles Around the Sun release. We started though talking about what it's like to work with the legendary Betty Cantor Jackson....

Check out plan9music. It's got a picture of Barefoot in the Head album cover and a list of all the songs. Digging CRB and looking forward to July!

Trippy cover, not very attractive, but who gives a hoot as a long as the music keeps on being great?

I agree, a kid could have drawn it as long they keep putting out the good jams ;). Speaking of jam, have you seen them do Jam in the Van? Rockin! Behold the Seer is my new fav.

Release date of July 21, by the looks of it.

This is the lead track (live):

EDIT: Sorry, see this was mentioned in the above post.

Second track is called She Shares My Blanket. Really hope this is a different, or drastically reworked, song to the Crowes' Share My Blanket, which was awful.

Skipping Maine again for this run of shows. CRB seems to ignore us every tour. We got Magpie Salute in August at least. I'd think Maine being a legal state for weed would hold some appeal for Chris and the gang, but again, no shows.

Looks like Amazon is setting up the preorder for both Vinyl and CD formats. Listings are up but currently "unavailable".

I like that one more than most of the new unreleased songs. Lyrics needed more work but the riff was solid.

I don't think it's likely to be the same track though - it appeared as an instrumental on a Rich release called The Composer Series which included instrumentals for licensing to TV and film.

I like the cover! It looks homemade like someone's kid did it at school, maybe in detention. :D

I always liked Share My Blanket. Caught it live back in 2006. Vintage RR riff. My only problem is the title; I think I read somewhere the original title was "Gasoline."

It should've made Warpaint imo. In typical Crowes fashion, the Warpaint outtakes are better than what made the album.

Given the pricing fiasco with BB3, I am tempted to preorder through amazon now.

I wonder if there will be a ltd. edition/ colored vinyl etc version available via the band's site? I suppose having multiple copies wouldnt be the worst thing!
