Hallmark Channel had some of the best Christmas movies, 20+ years ago. The movies through the early 2000's were thoughtful, often meaningful without being ponderous. I ordered many of the DVDs for my own library. As Wildest cat posted upthread, now the Hallmark Christmas movies are all the same. Love stories that happen to occur when the Christmas decorations are up. If you have seen one, you will know how all the others are. I quit watching years ago, and am disappointed Hallmark went that route.

Yeah, over the past 5 (10?) years they have all been pretty much the same. We still try to catch some of the older ones but a bunch of those they don't show anymore. We might watch one or two new ones a year and I do have that new one with Christopher Lloyd on the DVR. Might have to check out Bruce Campbell as well.

This type of "entertainment" makes me very happy that I don't participate in "holiday festivities".
I think I'll rewatch "American Rust" on Showtime again. :D

The ones that air on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are usually still quite good.

I like the Hallmark movies. Nothing wrong with some Christmas themed romance movies. Sure the stories are predictable, but the sentiment is there.

If I want the Christmas warm and fuzzies wrapped up in splashes of day-glo colors I can see it every ten minutes or so via Walmart, Target or Macy's commercials which are already in rotation on every channel. Starbucks and Hershey better step up their game.

    On again tonight:

Next Stop, Christmas | Hallmark Channel

I DVR'd it. Still too early for me, but the family is planning it to be the first Christmas movie we watch on Black Friday.

It's currently $64.99, but I use it in place of cable which was costing me a lot more.
