Hello all, After failing with the JLH, bit off far more than I could chew! I went to the other end of stuff and after taking some advice from Mr French bought the board below. Apparently with some boards the heat sink(s) are glued on I was told to beware of separate heat sinks. And buy one with a single heat sink that would be bolted on so that it could be removed to alter the gain, which I altered from 36dB to 20dB, it hissed at the higher gain. Once that had been changed put a drop of heat transfer stuff on and reassemble it. Some of the nasty cheap boards that hiss and pop a lot have about 1/2 the amount of SMD's that the data sheet calls for and the boards are very thin. Here's a piccy of mine. And the rear And a really cheap (to me) 12v SMPS at 9GBP, my speakers are 4 Ohm. No hiss, no pop and I was astonished at the performance for about 25GBP's including shipping, less than the price of one decent toroid to power my 3886's Cheers - J
