Figured it was my turn to do the traditional #1000 flip to new #23 thread.
    Hope I did it right?

    23?

Does that mean this thread is now controlled by a cult secretly ruling the world?

Don't laugh! There are even movies about it, so it must be true.

    23 skidoo—get thee OUT!

I say Annie Fischer for all three—particularly in #23.

Agreed on Annie #23 - for sure! :agree:

For the Waldstein, I say either the mono Serkin on Music and Arts or the live one by Hoffman from the superb Casimir recital on Marston Records.

Gilels's Beethoven is well worth recopmmending twice three times. :agree:

Today I received The Complete Symphonies of Mozart by Karl Bohm & The Berliner. Great box-set.

Now if I were to buy a complete set of piano concertos Mozart, what would you recommend? Ashkenazy, Perahia, something else?

Perahia or Anda. The latter is a bit more energetic, the former is more beautiful. If I had to sell one right now, it'd probably keep the Anda.

I should add that I haven't heard the Ashkenazy.

For #23 I like Gilels but my favorite is Kempff.

Tough to get rid of one or the other. There are some Mozart Piano Concertos that both of them "own".

    17th - Perahia
    21 - Anda

    and so on...
