I can remember, really not so long ago, when I would see these titles at the record stores in the mall going for $29.99 simply gathering dust. If I would have know then....

It's amazing that every single disc will sell. There are bids on every one of them.

Pretty amazing collection. It always befuddles me how someone can have so many sealed items in thier collection.

That was fun seeing them again. I remember when Tower Records decided to discontinue MOFI and other audiophile vinyl and put all the albums for sale at $1 each. I bought like 60. Discovered several bands I didn't know like Steeleye Span that way.

That's the highest bidding I've ever seen on the silver "Sinatra" box! It will definitely go for over a grand. Other used sets are going generally for $350-$375 almost weekly on ebay.

A special shout out to all the folks who bid before the deadline, thereby raising the prices! :righton:

And a look on ebay now is showing new sellers coming up with silver boxes with starting bids around a grand!

Nice collection...how on earth did these remain sealed for so long? If I had them they would all be open.

I pray they were all stored properly! I have had some issues with individual LP's from the Sinatra silver box that were put away for almost 30 years and collected funk and mold on them. Not what you'd expect from a MFSL collection.

One question I have is related to the "aluminum" discs released by MFSL. 2 discs stand out as missing from the list. Booker T. and the MG's McLEMORE AVENUE and CAFE DAYS from Chris Spedding aren't included. I know that they are both non-gold discs.

Is this list the entire catalog until 1996?

That doesn't exactly answer my question. As I reread the original post, it looks as if all of the LP's are included, not necessarily all of their cd releases.

Silly prices. You can get a whole UK Beatles collection for what the sealed box is going for and it will sound ten times better!
