Great to see this come back in print. I'll get over the annoyance of there not just being a standalone blu-ray set as I'm not a fan of bundling CDs. With Tom Petty's passing this is now almost as much a salute to him given his contributions.

I hope they release the Concert for Bangaldesh next on Bluray and hopefully with extra performances left off the 2005 DVD.

Is there stuff from the concert left off the 2005 DVD? I thought it was the complete show.

The DVD included two versions, the theatrical film and the complete concert. The latter has everything but the interviews. The former had interviews and an edited version of the concert. I have it and that's my understanding.

Is the Blu-ray set going to be available on Amazon?

  9. I think all editions EXCEPT the two Deluxe sets will be available at all the traditional retail outlets.

Seems that way. According to what I've read, the only one that's exclusive to the George Harrison website is the most expensive box.

That will be on the 20th Anniversary Edition to be released in 2022. With rose petals from the show preserved on the cover of the limited box.

Seems like the deluxe version is only available from the States which is a shame as it will make the set prohibitive for most in the UK when you add on postage and import duties. Oh well.

It is however a great event and I do have this already on DVD and it is something I do watch periodically with a bit smile on my face. That will have to do for me.

I figured those would go quick.

  16. That was fast. The regular Deluxe is still available. Just shows there is a market for very limited high end editions for some artists...

Just the DVD is quoted on Amazon as $139 today. Yikes.

I did a simulation to check the shipping cost to Brazil and got a message that they can't provide a shipping quote at the moment, which makes it impossible to place an order. Has anyone from other countries had that problem as well? I did another simulation with ZIP codes from the US & UK and it worked.
