I was looking at current concert tour names that I thought were drab, and wanted to poll the forum about the best, worst or funniest tour names.

One Direction - Where We Are Tour (their prior tour was the Take Me Home Tour)
Drake - Would You Like A Tour?

The "Ratt Poison" tour certainly belongs in the hall of fame.

Let's form a "Farewell Tour" queue.
    I'll start with the Who.

1988's "Oh No! Not Another....20 Years of Jethro Tull" tour comes to mind, because they did wind up sticking around another 20 years!

There's a talented Canadian jazz flutist Jane Bunnett who, in the late 1990s went to Havana and was so overwhelmed by the music she heard that she stayed there and studied with the musicians. (No problem, Canada didn't have the issues with Cuba the U.S. has). So she wound up bringing back a band of great musicians (especially the pianist Hilario Duran.), singers and dancers.

So, she decided to tour the U.S. with the band and they booked a 30 date tour. Somehow word of this tour got to Jesse Helms and he denounced her on the floor of the Senate! As the tour started, dates began to be cancelled by bomb threats, there were demonstrations and people just cancelled due to any impending trouble. (Not much of this was covered in the U.S. press.) In the end, they wound up playing about 6 of the 30 originally booked dates.

Luckily, Rochester was one of the last stops on the tour and they were selling s tee-shirt on the last dates to help her defray some the costs. My wife wound up buying one.

The tour had been dubbed The Come Helms Or High Water Tour. And it's a cool tee shirt too.

The CSNY2K tour, although Neil Young's proposed slogan "CSNY2K: Ask your parents" was funnier.

I immediately thought of PG as well but couldn't remember the specifics. Were these things ever explained in the tour programs or promo interviews?

This never went ahead due to illness but the Decemberists planned a tour called "The Long And The Short Of It" where they would play 2 shows per venue, the first night being all long songs and the second night being all short songs
