Just thought I'd send out a heads-up on this for anybody who's interested in watching. One of my favorite voices, and a classy lady, to boot. As usual, it'll be aired twice tonight...first at 8:00 and again at midnight. :)

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

I read a bio about her once, and it sure hasn't been an easy life. But somebody at MGM liked her; she must have been on her tenth single before "Who's Sorry Now" finally clicked and jump-started her career. Just some years later, that kind of major label patience would have been unthinkable; hell, EMI had first dibs on the Beatles and took a pass, at first...a fair argument could be made her story is more tragic than, say, Bobby Darin's, if only because, while his life was cut short by a congenital heart condition, he'd done just about everything he wanted to do, and more...Connie survived, but at a price, one all of us would not want to pay.
