Are there any US sites allowing pre-orders for the Art Pepper albums?

I pre ordered both Art Pepper titles from Amazon UK just to be sure.
If they pop up on US sites I will just cancel my orders since Amazon doesn't charge until item is shipping.

    Not taking any chances

I'm sure Craft is planning a media blitz (press release, Fremer, the usual - with possible Acoustic Sounds involvement and Youtube hyping as well, à la the Verve series) before these hit US stores for preorder. Think the European distributors/retailers just jumped the gun.

Shoot, I recently bought the 1988 'Meets The' Stereo Contemporary Japan issue from Victor Musical Industries.

Same question as you asked...How will BG compare...Hmmm.

Geez everyone thinking these wont be on Amazon US are nuts. Its a Craft release, theyll be available in the USA from dozens of dealers, have some patience for them to at least announce these series

Here's a cool interview with John Coltrane:

the Drift website link is now down. You're obviously right, and the time line for announcement is the issue.
We can imagine the delays with pressing the vinyl are going to set the schedule, and when it makes sense,
Craft will start the marketing. Sounds like it's going to be a cool series.

Interested in your thoughts regarding this particular pressing done at Rainbow, any problems or has Rainbow improved on their pressings?

I do not know if there are copies out there with problems for this particular pressing, but mine was (luckily?) defect free. Looking at what I have recorded on Discogs, I only own 10 reissues pressed at Rainbo, but I do not recall any of those copies having any real issues. That doesn't mean that the mastering/sound of all the records are audiophile quality (although they are enjoyable), just no notable physical defects.

Rainbo closed late December 2019. These are either old stock or else United is pressing them using the Rainbo plates. It appears they bought the presses and the client list (according to discogs). I say good riddance. I've never gotten anything but a wedge shaped record from Rainbo.

I have the clear RSD version of The AP Quartet. It’s great, an excellent pressing. Whether it’s “audiophile” or not is totally subjective, but the sound is very good, straight-up vintage jazz in mono.

Listening to side 2 at the moment, and it's wonderful! I assume the standard black version is just as good.

You’d think that with a new series coming out in barely a month away, there would have already been an announcement.

December huh? I actually think that’s good. The rest of the year is jam packed with Tone Poets, BN Classics, and the AS Verve/Impulse stuff. My wallet is booked until then anyway :p I’ve never listened to Art Pepper at all. I think I’ll blind buy meets the rhythm section with this series.

Still up as mid-August on Amazon, but I also wouldn't mind a push back. Far too much stuff coming out in August/September.

I have never heard this album, but Art's albums in the late 50's with Marty Paich are fabulous. I need to check this out.

Since we seem to have contrasting release dates you have to wonder what is going with this 70th anniversary.
