Next Thursday 11/19 is going to be a huge conflict.......Lucinda Williams, John Doe, and Jesse Malin on at the same time.

Im glad they’re all up 48 hours. I’ll probably watch Lucinda live of the three......it’s her Bob Dylan covers set.

Fwiw, I thought Lucinda's "Southern Soul" set this past Thursday was absolutely *superb*. Great song choices and she and the band really brought it. Already had CDs on order but will be buying a vinyl copy of this session as well, it was sooooo good, easily beating the Tom Petty set imo (which took doing).

I agree. Those songs are more up her alley. "I Can't Stand The Rain" sounded lie it could've been in her setlist for years.

Couple big livestreams today, Metallica is playing an acoustic live set benefiting their All Within my Hands charity and there is also a Foo Fighters live set today as well for purchase. I’ll be getting virtual tix for both shows.

    Re: Jesse Malin
Hi @LandHorses - I've viewed 2 of Jesse's - one on veeps & another on rolllinglive. Oh, actually, maybe 3. I thought he'd finished his series. o_O Would you please post a link w/info. b/c I haven't viewed one of his in about a month now, (I think; hard to keep up, I'm usually viewing a livestream once/week at least - one month I attended multiple shows weekly & then would watch some of them twice, since most have been left up 48-72 hours, depending on artist) so would like to catch that one mentioned on Thursday, 11/19. His have been great - he's a true story-teller musician! I'd only learned of him earlier in the summer from doing a google search, wondering if Ryan Adams will be heard from again, anytime soon (not getting into his troubles) & found an article where there was a link of him performing w/Jesse. Listened to a couple of tracks from Sunset Kids & purchased immediately. Highly recommend! After viewing livestream of full performance of earlier release, The Heat, got that, too! Plugging him wherever I'm able to fit it/content-wise, on threads here! I'd caught an earlier one of Lucinda - not viewing these, b/c not as interested in covers' shows, but I understand the Petty (R.I.P.) one was excellent.
    Thanks! :righton:

I've seen all of his Fine Art of Self Distancing shows. Last week, he played his Love It To Life album.

He does the series thing just to take a week or two off.

Thanks @LandHorses ! :righton: Oh, shoot! I missed Love It To Life.:sigh: I thought the last notification I received from rollinglive listed whichever show it was as last & it wasn't that - it was longer ago. I preferred Veeps, where he started the series. Oh well. I'll make sure to catch this one, then. :D He's got a great band w/him, too! I don't think I received notification on this show. I clicked on the link you provided for this week & see that Evan Dando was on that one, too?! Looks like I can still purchase & view today - Whew!! So glad you uploaded the info. today (& that I checked out this thread today!! Going to catch it now! Of course, it won't be live for me, & I do enjoy the side-bar chats, but that's ok.

    Ron Gallo, 47 mins

ron gallo played an amazon music livestream show on 11/13/20. when asked if he could be paid for the performance, amazon said "NO". so ron gallo did the show anyway and used their platform to call them out, talk about artist value, do karaoke and play songs from his upcoming album "PEACEMEAL". a few hours after his set Amazon offered to pay all of the artists on the bill $3,000 each

Does this belong here? Regardless, here's a song specifically written about the coronavirus.
    Should that be another thread?

Jason Dea West "When The World Locked Down"

When the world got scared, everything did change.
& All the towns, had rearranged.
Shops closed down, & the world looked strange.
& All the people started to complain.
There was death, and there was pain.
Though nobody knew, how they could sustain
& everybody, did what was asked.
They stood apart, started wearing masks.
When the world locked down, it happened fast.
Though nobody knew, how long it'd last.
    Sickness spread, across the land.
    &Everybody, stopped shakin hands,
& Everywhere now, you heard the word,
There is a sickness, amongst the herd.
Sing for me, that old death song.
That road up head, it's looking long.
Sing for me, that morning bird.
There is a sickness , amongst the herd.
Well everybody, gave up their rights,
To slow the spread, and join the fight.
There was compliance, and there was fright.
There was defiance, and there was might.
Work was scarce, and money tight.
And a solution, nowhere in sight.
And still the people, did what were told.
Stay inside now, protect the old.
And many businesses, started to phone,
There is a sickness, some type of cold.
Stay inside now, checks on the way.
    1,200 dollars, your next payday.
Stay inside now, the experts say,
    Goodbye April, and Goodbye May.
Avoid your family, avoid your friends,
You'll see them all, someday again.
There is no hopes folks, and it ain't pretend.
Give it time now, for things to mend.
Well the land looked dry, when the season changed.
For 3 months straight, it did not rain.
Fire's came, like a big hot wall.
And across the land, them flames did crawl.
The worst fire, you ever saw.
& It didn't go out, til later that fall.
Sing for me, that morning bird.
There is a sickness , amongst the heard.
Sing for me, that old death song.
That road up head, it's looking long.
And nobody knows, what's right or wrong,
and in these times, we must be strong!
