Counterfeit CDs on Amazon and other sites: has this gotten worse?

I bought several of the later volumes from that seller a year or two ago. They are generally Canadian releases. They are sealed and play fine, just like a US Rhino.

 

I don't know if it has become more common, but there's plenty of them om Discogs.

 

it's one thing doing a fake cd of something really rare, but a Naxos cd?
their stuff is usually the cheapest you can buy, like $5 retail.why would anyone bother

Hopefully. For OOP titles I want, the proliferation of unofficial releases on eBay is very pervasive. Because of how deceitfully authentic looking, I almost bought several titles until I did some research by comparing photos between the fake and originals.
